Bold Fraktur Text Generator
Convert text to bold fraktur (heavy blackletter / gothic) Unicode you can paste into Instagram, Twitter, and Discord. Free, instant, and works in your browser.
Calculator by Toolsloft ↗Turn ordinary text into bold fraktur Unicode, the heavy blackletter or gothic style people paste into Instagram bios, Twitter or X posts, and Discord names for a dark medieval look. Type once and copy the extra-bold version out. The result is real Unicode, not an image, so it keeps working wherever you paste it.
How this is calculated
Each letter is swapped for its match in the Unicode Mathematical Bold Fraktur block. Unlike the plain Fraktur block, this one is fully contiguous, so capitals run from U+1D56C and lowercase from U+1D586, with no reserved gaps. The block defines no bold-fraktur digits, so numbers, spaces, punctuation, emoji, accented letters, and any other character are left unchanged.

FAQ
- Is this real bold fraktur text or an image?
- It is real Unicode text, not an image. You can copy and paste it into most apps and websites, and it stays selectable and searchable. It is not a downloadable font, so nothing needs to be installed by you or the reader.
- How is bold fraktur different from the gothic generator?
- The gothic generator uses the plain Fraktur block. Bold fraktur uses the heavier Bold Fraktur block, so the same blackletter shapes come out thicker and darker. If the regular gothic looks too light, this is the bolder version.
- Why did my numbers stay the same?
- Unicode does not define bold-fraktur digits, so 0 to 9 are left as you typed them. Only letters A to Z and a to z change. Spaces and punctuation are also left unchanged.
