- How do I calculate a percent-off price?
- Multiply the original price by the discount percent divided by 100 to get the amount off, then subtract that from the price. For example, 25 percent off $120 is $30 off, so the final price is $90.
- Does this include sales tax?
- No. The calculator shows the discounted price before tax. Any sales tax is applied to the discounted price at checkout, so add your local tax rate separately if you need the final receipt total.
- Can I enter a discount over 100 percent?
- No. A discount cannot be more than 100 percent, which would make the price negative, so the tool accepts values from 0 to 100.
