Count the days between two dates, with an option to include the end date so you can get either the gap or the inclusive span. It also splits the range into business days and weekend days, which is useful for planning shipping windows, notice periods, and deadlines. Enter the dates in any order.

How this is calculated

Days are counted as UTC calendar days, so the total is exact and free of timezone drift. Business days are the Monday-to-Friday dates in the range, counted from the earlier date up to but not including the later date; weekend days are the remainder. Including the end date simply adds one to the count.

How to use

  1. Enter the start date and the end date.
  2. Tick "include end date" if you want the inclusive count.
  3. Read the total days along with the business-day and weekend-day split.

Examples

  • A full month: 2026-07-01 to 2026-07-31 → 30 days, 22 business days
  • Inclusive: Same range including the end date → 31 days

FAQ

What is the difference between the two day counts?
The total days is the plain difference between the dates. The counted days adds one when you include the end date, which is what you want when both the first and last day should count.
How are business days defined?
Business days are Monday through Friday. Public holidays are not removed, since those vary by country and region.
Can I enter the later date first?
Yes. The count is always non-negative, so the order you type the dates in does not change the result.
