How this is calculated
Each keyword is wrapped to match Google Ads match-type syntax: phrase match in double quotes, exact match in square brackets, and modified broad match with a plus prefixed to every word. Keywords are trimmed and blank lines are dropped before wrapping.
How to use
- Paste your keywords, one per line.
- Choose the match type you want to apply.
- Copy the wrapped keywords into your ad group or keyword planner.

- What do the match types mean?
- Phrase match uses quotes, exact match uses square brackets, and modified broad match puts a plus before each word. Broad match has no wrapping.
- Is modified broad match still supported?
- Google has folded modified broad into phrase match, but the plus syntax is still useful for organizing lists and for platforms that keep it. The tool outputs it on request.
- Does it change my keywords?
- It only trims surrounding spaces and drops blank lines. The words themselves are left exactly as you enter them.
