This calculator gives a rough estimate of your monthly Social Security benefit at full retirement age from your Average Indexed Monthly Earnings (AIME). Use it for a quick sense of your benefit before pulling an official statement from the Social Security Administration. It is a simplified estimate, not an official figure.
How this is calculated
It computes the Primary Insurance Amount using the 2024 bend points, crediting 90% of AIME up to $1,174, 32% of the portion from $1,174 to $7,078, and 15% above $7,078, then multiplies by 12 for the annual benefit.
